![]() The calculator says I will have only 27 Foot-Lambert or 27 Fl with this set up.ĭoes this mean even though the new projector has a brighter bulb it will be almost half as bright on the same screen as the older MX-525 is? When I run the same screen size and new distance I will need which is 16' 5" (no zoom). Now, I just purchased the BenQ MH-530FHD (1920x1080 native with a 3,300 lumen lamp). ![]() ![]() The MX-525 has a 3,200 lumen lamp in it and according to the Projector Central Calculator using all the settings I described above it has a Foot-Lambert brightness at 16:9 of 41 Fl. My current projector (MX-525) is 20' 5" from the screen to fill it nicely. ![]() I usually only pull the screen down far enough that a 16:9 aspect ratio movie looks best on it so my effective screen size for 16:9 is 138" diagonal. So I have been using a BenQ MX-525 Projector (1024x768 native resolution with 3,200 lumen lamp), for a while in my house projecting onto a 150" diagonal 4:3 screen. ![]()
